In case you haven’t heard, Google has a new cloud drive called Google Drive.  It looks like it is going to offer some useful features.  However, it is not supporting my OS of choice, Linux.

I have just become aware of the fact that Google Docs is moving to the cloud drive.  If you are like me, and you have been using Google Docs and Linux, it looks like you are going to be left with no way to access and use your current documents.

What are were they thinking?  Wow!  This is *EXACTLY* why cloud drives are a bad idea.  They own your data.  And, they can pull the plug on your data whenever they choose.  And, they can limit your access anytime and any way they choose.  I’m not too keen on that.

Strange Looking Lizards

A couple of days ago, we noticed some strange new house guests on our front porch.  To our surprise, we had about 7 or 8 lizards on the ceiling of our porch.  We have lots of green lizards around our house.  But, we have never seen anything like these.

UPDATE: it appears to be a Mediterranean Gecko.

dd-wrt on Netgear 3500L-100NAS

No matter how dissatisfied you may be with your current carrier, it could be worse.  You could have Verizon.  Believe me when I say, that Verizon customer service is the worst customer service of any company I have ever seen, bar none.

I found a website with lots of good tricks for Python. I found the code for sorting two lists simultaneously to be particularly useful.
